but they are not trip hop are they ltc, andi thought we were getting all technical here on who is trip hop :hmm:

well quite. but let's not get all petty and pedantic eh. :D

if you think Tricky's shit, there are loads of threads with no Tricky on them Clyde. go play.

he doesn't really talk funny or weird. i'm just being silly.

apparently his way of whisper talking is called Sprechgesang. i didn't know that. i bet Clyde did though. and i bet he'll say Tricky doesn't even Sprechgesang properly. :(

That's what Lou Reed and Rex Harrison do too. And that Streets fella

as much as i rate Tricky's stuff, and have always loved nearly everything he's done - and will probably always listen to it - i really really really hate the fact that he doesn't, and never bloody has, credit Martina properly. his sound would have been so totally different without her.

this makes me think he's a prick.

he doesn't say very much about anything though to be fair, but yeah, bit prickish i am guessing...

No, I believe it was coined by Andy Pemberton in Mixmag to describe the instrumental hip hop that labels like Mo Wax were releasing - DJ Shadow and such. I think other producers like Fila Brazillia and Funky Porcini were mentioned too. I'll see if I can root it out

funki porcini was ace. head phone sex was a great album.

i concur. i've got that album just above my head as it happens, and i think i might play it right now instead of popping over to tescos.

rock n roll.
