The Times: looking for Maggie Thatcher babies born in Brixton

Dear Hannah,

Fact 1: Maggie Thatcher's babies weren't born in Brixton (Grantham I believe)
Fact 2: Carol & Mark Thatcher were born on 15th August 1953, not 4th May 1979

HTH :)

That'll be £267.98 + VAT thx. I'll email you the invoice :)

Hi All

I am a journalist at The Times and I am putting together an article about Margaret Thatcher babies - people who were born on May 4, 1979, when she came into power.

I am particularly interested in talking to Thatcher babies who are now activists with views and opinions on the issues that matter.

If you or anyone you know fits the bill, please do get in touch: [email protected]

Many thanks

Hannah Fletcher

You want activists, born on one specific date, who are willing to talk to a Murdoch paper about Margaret Thatcher?

:D

Hi [email protected]

I was born in 1965, and although I have been to Brixton many years ago, I am lucky enough to live in the Stirling area.

If you are thinking of doing an article about Harold Wilson era babies, who live in the Stirling area, and who now have rather distinguished grey bits in their hair, do get in touch. I met Magnus Linklater once. And Harry Secombe, although that probably isn't relevant.

I was born on the day, 9th May 1988, that the ausrtalian Parliament building opened in canberra, now, i've never been to australia in my life, but i do have some relatives there, and i'm sure i've got some important things to say on the issues that matter.

I am one, please PM me on here.

I think that there has been far to much hostility on this thread. I'm going to add her as a friend on facebook so that she won't feel sad, and because "Cambridge Graduates" are currently under-represented in my friends list.
It's nice to know Cambridge is still producing the highest calibre graduates, who go on to fulfill the noble calling of the journalist.

Hi all

I am a journalist at The Times and I am researching an article on the rise of the 'domestic goddess' among young women in their 20s and 30s. Please do correct me if you think I am wrong, but it is my theory that there is a current trend away from the high-powered career girl of the previous decade and towards an acceptance of a more traditionally female role.

This is based almost entirely on my own personal experience as well as that of friends and peers - but arguably the trend has also been noticable among our celebrities who are marrying and having children in droves it seems. But I would love to hear from you. Have you found yourself cooking and cleaning for your partners or doubting if the daily work grind is really for you? Or are you still as career minded as ever?

Please get in touch.

Many thanks and I look forward to hearing from you

I wish somebody had told me when I dropped out of Cambridge after three years of a four-year degree that it wasn't the end of the world. I wish somebody had sat my parents down and told them it would be OK.

But mainly, I wish I'd known before I applied that there were options other than Oxbridge.

which is it to be, thumbs up, or thumbs down?

I am heading to the soopermarket at lunch to see if today is the big launch. If it is then expect a third thread with pictures and scratch 'N' sniff icons to satiate urbans rampant curiousity for all things wacky-snacky!!

Dropped out. Her facebook profile is a wicked lie - she's not a graduate. Deleted from my friends list now. Oh, the history.

This thread is just clearly more of the media trying to convince people to riot during the G20 just to make news for themselves.

Very disappointing.
