This thread is almost as entertaining as Coronation Street
one of the options on that slider should sort it out. Can't tell you which one because I don't know what screen you've got.
you may well also need to press ctrl and 0 to reset the view in firefox though... the 0 is the number zero btw, not the letter O

oh yeah!
you gots text size though, you tried that??

tried what?I've tried that. Nothing happens.![]()
tried what?
the different options on that slider, or the ctrl 0 thing?

no.The ctrl 0 thing.
The different options on that slider just made it look even more weird.
I've killed the laptop haven't I?![]()

but i haz taught moomoo to post a screen shot so not entirely wasted posting![]()

ok, try it at 1280 * 8001280 x 720
Have you checked the windows text size settings? It's unlikely to be this but it's quite simple to check, so give it a bash.
They can be found in two places. First, right click on your desktop, select properties and go to the appearance tab, there should be three drop down menus, the bottom one being text size, it should be set to normal. Next, click on the settings tab of the same window, click advanced and this should open a new window, check the general tab and check DPI settings, again this should be set to normal.
However like I said, unlikely to be this as these settings should effect IE as well as the other browsers, but from your screen shots, your text looks abnormally large for the start pane and for the pictures in the top left hand corner buttons, but not for the firefox title, very odd.

ok, try it at 1280 * 800
that's the max resolution given in the manual.
you'll need to move the slider, then click on the apply button. The screen may go blank for a few seconds then flick back on... this is normal.
