The Telectroscope

i popped by it last night.
it's ok.

no more than that.

worth a £1 to write guff on a white board to wave at people in brooklyn for 5 minutes.

there is a pretty big cruise liner moored up next to HMS Belfast as well

ooh, thats not far from my house, might take madge down to wave at her american cousins

or summink

Guy at my work is getting his brother (who lives in NY) to meet him on the other side... :D
Now that is when this really works :)

I just think for all the prep there's been (take a look at their site - that cool looking tunnel and all those cool 'artefacts' and pieces of history) it's a bit of a let-down when you get there and all it is is a nicely dressed up webcam.

But yes, certainly the sort of thing we should encourage :)

Went on Friday night :D

People of Brooklyn!

I just realised you can see the Brooklyn Bridge from that viewpoint, and I'd assume you can see Tower Bridge from NY, which is pretty cool

There must be a few NY urbanites around; Telectroscope meet-up anyone? :D

Just to add, does anyone know if the rebuilding of the gardens by Kens Palace (alright, city hall) is still going ahead with Boris in the hot seat? I saw some plans that looked impressive (off to google a pic>>>cant find anything about it) - basically i think they're going to build a huge hill, not too unlike the one in tellytubbies, on that little park outside city hall... i think thats where the telectroscope is
