Bloke on a bicycle (not lights, not high-vis, not helmet) who rode up next to a bus, grabbed hold of one of the high lights, and used the bus to pull him along instead of peddling. He kept hold even as they went around a corner!

OK, I know the week's only just got started, but I don't think I'll see anything stupider than that!

Regardless of stupidity of the pedestrian or cyclist, the blame should always lie with the motorised vehicle driver or rider.

If you drive or ride a deadly weapon in a populated city, if you kill someone you should go to jail for manslaughter, even if they run out in front of you and you have no chance to stop. Its still your fault!

You decide to drive a deadly weapon, you take the risk, if you kill or mame, you should go to jail in the same way as if you carry a gun and shoot someone by accident, its manslaughter.

Avoid the risk of going to jail by being careful and driving slowly or not at all.

Er, no. Riding a bicycle on a motorway is

a) illegal for very good reasons

b) twattish and inconsiderate of other road users

c) suicidal

The closing speed of vehicles coming up behind you is likely to be in excess of 50 mph, even if you're a reasonably fast cyclist.*

It's an emergency lane, intended to be used for emergencies only. Official advice even in these situations is to leave your vehicle and stand on the verge as far away from the carriageway as possible, whatever the weather conditions.

I have no sympathy whatsoever for anyone who indulges in this.
