The Streets

escape from the pidegon hole by abdominal isnt too hard to find.

if you like otrrents http://torrentscan.com/

He does quite a lot of work with dj format as well so if you cant abs then try for him.

tech 9 spits fast but not many good tunes.Busta rhymes is overall the best of the fast spitters i reckon. Also big pun best flow ever. Especially on twins thers a ittle bit(in the middle of little italy..............) thats just class. Sway on hype boys and download is good. Chamillionaire spits fairly fast sometimes.

umm i will think of more.

"Like that bloke from The Streets, who talks like a cockney,
Ain't you from Birmingham, you knob, you get me?"

:D

"What street are you from? Coronation street" :D

Witness the Pitness is a great tune :cool:

I used to DJ it instead of Roots Manuva and watch people get gradually confused as they realised it wasn't what they thought it was :D

you should definetly check this out;

Stig of the Dump - Homeless Microphonist EP

one of my favourite uk hip hop albums! mainly battle rap type stuff, but with lots of humour and intelligence :cool:

I'd like the chance at least - he just "freestyled" the same shitty rhymes twice.

"Metaphor? Metaphor? You're meta-four-foot-tall..." :D

You just don't get lines like that in melodic indie rock...

More Pitman;

"Like that rapper Jay-Z,
Girls girls girls he says he adores,
Yeah, Elton John got married mate, you get me?"
:D

If you want to go a bit sonically dirtier than the Streets into grime, try Wiley's "Treddin' On Thin Ice" or any of the "Lord Of The Decks" mixes which I've got off slsk in the past. They are far more raw than Skinner though, so perhaps approach after trying Dizzee and Kano.

Speaking of live music I just saw the roots live and they blew my mind. It was sweet to see a band that can still make live music.

OFine if your going comedy mc lars might be wortha listen. he's a bit shit(like mike skinner) but has some jokes tunes and can flow a bit better then him.

Im not reccomending him highly but one of the few comedy mc's i can deal with.

Fuck pitman.

Abdominal is fucking ace as well :cool:

As an old b-boy I love Abdominal, Jurrassic 5, Blackalicious etc but am not keen onThe Streets or SkinnyMan m'fraid. London Posse were one of the few UK hip-hop crews who could mix it with those across the pond IMO.

Louis Logic and MC Paul Barman are another couple of MCs that people who don't like hip hop very much seem to like a lot.
