Like him a lot , the first album was great for all the reasons already given , the first time I caught We Can Be Heroes I remember thinking it was something very special ,the second album was up there too , never bought the third but the tracks I heard didnt grab me . I think he suffered from a lot of inferior copycat stuff being realeased in similar style , Lily Allen , Kate Nash , that other bloke Jack something ?.
Def not Crap

I liked his radio days, in Birmingham (or maybe that wasn't him)?

And the first album was great. The second album, I didn't buy - didn't even realise there was a third album? His latest stuff seems pretty good.

I've seen him live and that was fun.

Not crap.

Yep that was him...live....from Weoley Castle :D His been hit and miss for sure but Weak Become Heroes and Stay Positive are sublime.

Our lass has got us tickets to see him at The Roundhouse in October, part of the electric proms I think.

Never seen him live before, thought the first two albums were mint but really not sure how it'll work live. Looking forward to it though.

They're great live; much more "muscular" than the records, fleshed out with proper instruments and stuff. I saw them on a sort of "greatest hits" tour of Scotland last year and look forward to seeing them in Glasgow a week on Saturday.

don't mind the street, although some of it has been utter shite.

i've a great 7" by him under the name 'grafiti' which is awesome (although that's probably down to the fact it was remixed by the bug, has mad ragga toasting and you never hear skinners voice through the whole track...)

Yeh, that was ace - wish he'd do more like that :)

i've never heard the original track - the remix just sounds like a particularly rinsing bug tune though, so i don't expect skinner had a huge amount of input...

ah,the original is great too. Quite abrasive and noisy and that. With Skinner yelling "what is your problem with me?" over it :)
