Margate tonight

Me and my creepers are ready :D

I'm off to see them in Wolves tomorrow... I've just discovered Pama International are their support

That was great

I feel a bit cheated with the lack of support though.. even though the box office phonline had a recorded message saying that support would be on at 7.30, The Specials at 9.

There was no support (because they were filming it apparently) and The Specials didn't come on til 9.20. So we were stuck in a venue with an 'absolutely no passouts' rule for 2 hours not being able to smoke and forced to pay £3.30 for a can of redstripe

Has there been support for the rest of the tour? And what's been the score with passouts at other venues? I think wolves civic's 'if you go out you're not coming back in' stance is fucking ridiculous.

agreed, venues like this are the lowest of the low, just waiting till someone takes an epileptic fit due to lack of food or air(the Academy in Ncle won't let you out despite having no food on sale in the venue!)

Why would there be no support cos they were filming it?

<still looking for tickets for Hammersmith if anyone has any tips, cheers>

>>Nanker

Not at mr steev's gig though it seems?

Our mate was at the Cardiff gig (which we couldn't afford in time to get tix :( )

He was delighted by the set list there ... he was raving last week about that and the whole gig. Good to see this confirmed by others who went to Cardiff :)

More and more venues are gearing themselves towards getting people in, keeping them in and getting as much money from alcohol sales as possible.

I getting a bit bored of pissed up wankers at gigs who have no sense of personal space. I'm not talking about the rough and tumble down the front, but the lairy cunts who just wanna march their way through everyone and then just stop in a spot a fraction smaller than their physical being...then they proceed to 'dance' on the spot with two beers...half of which they spill on everyone else around them...anway...that's off subject!!!!!!!

Pama International have been the support for the whole tour.

It even said that they were playing on Pama's website too

I've no idea tbh. Unless it was to limit the amount of kit on stage maybe.

The more I think about this, the more pissed off I'm becoming. If The Specials hadn't have been so good I would not have been happy. I can feel a complaint coming on.

They could have had an annoucement outside warning of no support and show start times. Wouldn't have been hard.

I was at the Forum last night....that's run by cunts! 2 fucking bar staff on the long bar. Daft.

It's very baffling when they've paid a fortune for it.
These venues forget that people just won't go to gigs when they do that. people aren't stupid- they weigh up how much its gonna cost em for a night out. If they are forced to pay £3.50 for a pint, and not allowed out to anywhere cheaper, they won't bother at all.

thats another matter too, they don't want you going elsewhere for a beer yet they won't put on enough staff to serve you either. I went there in 1996, never again.

to my shame I started a scuffle at the bar:o:o
because two boys pushed in front of me
but two staff was just ridicolus:rolleyes:

Saw them in Sydney in July....One of the best gigs ever.
Got to hug Neville Staple before the gig...
