The Specials Announce Tour

Wasn't flagged as that you fraud!!! ;) :p

I was there at that gig too -- mainly for Linton Kwesi Johnson as it happened cos I've seen Neville Staple before (he and band were excellent though, that night).

It was Terry Hall's MANAGER that Jerry condemned as a money grabbing capitalist.

yes, it was.:)

Ah yes, ok you are right - his manager.

It's a good album IMO. Not as all killer no filler as the first two, but still totally under-rated

I've been listening to it on my Mp3 player and I think it sounds very dated - lots of ideas, not sure it does much for me, but a nice try.

I know my son would love to see them, but £70 for the both of us a bit much.

Wonder if The Selecter playing anywhere near soon:hmm:
I'd love to see them.

BTW, why did they spell their name 'selecter' instead of 'selector'? :hmm:

No idea. They're on a sabbatical according to their website. Pauline Black doing some sort of soul shows.

I like to see them supported by Fun Boy Three and the Colourfield. Really put Terry through his paces.

FBT as support would be ace though. Especially if they could get Bananarama in too.

If any I'd like to see the selecter back to do something.

I saw Pauline Black with Neville Staples recently and she was great - looked fantastic as well.

Fair dos!

Still tickets on sale for £200

Yup, touts are scum. One thing I always think when I'm passing the Brixton Academy is how uniformly they adhere to the gobby, 'look at me I'm hard', wide-boy twat stereotype.

There's a Specials lyric in there somewhere.........

All it proves that tickets are on sale for so much already is that there are idiots willing to buy them.

Have any been sold at that price yet though?

I'm sure these are sell out shows but £200, I'm not sure.
