a few extras get ripped, most don't. and the quality is poor. if i wanted shitty copies that pixellate, freeze, and where the discs don't work after a while, i might just download them all. if i want copies to watch again and again, i'll buy the box set. tho i'll wait till this drops in price a little, or hope for a copy for chrissie with this un

Heh I never said hbo....but anyway its my cash so i'll spend on what I like! I bet you've spent more than that on drink and drugs in the last two months. :P

i want the box set as well, gonna watch all the episodes again and then hiopefulyl at some point go to the us and do the tour. i reckon there'll be loads on e-bay after xmas

huh, is there anyone there who has all the sopranos on DVD? I bought a set of every episode off someone a while back but only realised months later that in fact it is missing one of the disks (the one featuring the episode when melfi gets raped in the car-park)

please PM me if anyone has that disk, then i will have a complete set :)

plus you could just burn copies of all the dvds and take the box set back for a refund after xmas.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm.............:hmm:

:D

best television EVER. and £92 is fine for 30 hours grade A entertainment . In fact IMO £92 is fine just for that episode when you see Adriana bending over to pick up a tennis ball.:p

Sure you're missing that? One cd you have to turn over. I miss the melfi rape scene episode because of that. It's just on the other side of the disc...

why not just download it all for free?!

Because you may well want to actually watch it in the next year, rather than the status bar on your torrent client.:p
£90's a bargin for all that.I wouldn't begrudge or feel like a sucker giving HBO it either. They could've gone bust making the Sopranos but the gamble paid off & we have not only the Sopranos but The Wire, 6ft Under, Deadwood & many other grade A shows a a result.

Bet you don't think twice about blowing £90 on drugs or booze,

Was a late-comer to Sopranos. Loved it but never quite kept up with it. Dipped back in near the end of the final series and deliberately stopped watching so as to 'save' the entire series for a rainy day. I have a few weeks off work and proper looking forward to complete back-to-back viewing. New Jersey by morning..

I had a procedure* a couple of years back that meant I had to stay in bed for 3 days. Watched the lot in one go. It is still, IMO, the best TV series there has ever been. That was my 3rd time through it and I loved every minute. Even it's bad episodes are better than pretty much everything that has come since.

*got my knackers done...

Lots of people told me to watch this after watching The Wire which I loved. I just couldn't get into this though, I gave it a few episodes, but it just wouldn't click.

I did usually watch it after work tired so maybe I need to give it another go.

It’s nothing like the Wire. Don’t go there expecting any similarities.

(I loved Sopranos but didn’t get the Wire at all).

Danny la Rouge/Bristol Echo, l loved both the Sops and the Wire.

However, the gap in my cool, modern TV viewing is Breaking Bad. Tried it a couple of times and just couldn't seem to get into it. :(

I liked Breaking Bad, but it’s over rated. It’s the performances that lifts it above its milieu. It could also have been two seasons shorter and retained more credibility. It all goes a bit (more) A-team towards the end. It’s fun rather than top class TV like the Sopranos or Mad Men at its best.

I prefer it to the wire as well, have both, seen the sopranos about every 5 years, good value 20 quid box set. Friend who'd never seen it said it was a bit low rez! I suppose that's true.

I've yet to re watch BB, Did get s1/2/3 set at a charity shop for a quid. Looking forward to it, but maybe next year.
