This has been the most entertaining final I can remember in recent years. What I like about both Selby and HIggins is they are old fashioned snooker players - take their time, good safety, play for snookers.

When ROnnie hit the scene, a few years back, there was a big change in the game, and lots of players just played a "go straight into the pack and hope for the best" type game. I think it turned snooker into a pool match, and distorted the old game a bit like big serves do in tennis.

This match so far has it all... lets hope it goes all the way.

Persoanlly Im pissed of Ali CArter (lost by one to Selby) and Maguire (threw away a fat lead) got knocked out as I had them picked from the start - still, its all about Selby now.

Did you hear the commentators say Selby was a 100/1 to win last night at 4/12 down? I hope someone put some big bets on that...

i watched that last two frames this afternoon, incredible comeback from selby, i still see higgins winning though, had selby had all 8 frames in that session and made it 12-12 i think he'd have won it, but that last frame took 45 minutes, shortened the session, higgins went in stil lin front, gives him a chance to regroup, i think he'll come out and win a couple of quick ones...

I tell you what has annoyed me in this coverage and that of recent years, is the way the cameras follow them backstage, walking in and out of their dressing rooms, and even footage of them in their dressing rooms. Dont you think this is an invasion of privacy? Big BRother gone Mad! Database state here we come!!1

That was unlucky eh, do you remember he got that kick on the pink to the middle pocket, lost position and had to play up to the pack - without that kick hed have won that frame sixty seconds later and still had time for at least one more frame...

A real gem to watch and he's only 23

You can tell he's used to playing pool though, his play's just not as refined as other snooker players and the amount of canons he played in that semi final I can just imagine him in the pub with his mates!

I'd really like him to win

Selby is cleverly taking his time and not rushing - therefore setting the pace. THis always pisses off other players and can often get them out of their groove. Selby still right in this - 1am finish on the cards at this rate
