"The slow death of the Real Job is pulling society apart"

So tell me how this state of affairs is 'natural'? expand on its 'inevitability'?

BTW everything is natural. The word itself means 'unaffected by man' in the dictionary, but of course man is natural too.

Also if you had looked at the philosophy website a bit you would understand that everything is determined from the beginning of time to the end. It is an illusion of freewill that your quote here shows how little you've even looked at that.

Good synopsis, though it does not lead to a position where no one has any money to spend in the economy, I responded quite clearly to this previously.

Not to my satisfaction you did not, please provide evidence for your thesis

[You go on to describe the trickle-down theory as discredited. Well I agree, it doesn't trickle down quite as much as most would like, and in developed countries this trickle down gets less, though in China it has resulted in MILLIONS being pulled out of poverty. You are correct that this theory is used as an excuse to maintain the status quo.

Again please provide evidence for this.

As for the product, it really depends on the nature of the product, different products have different life cycles. Also the built-in obsolescence is an issue too.

So you agree that demand is finite and that the market is incapable of benefiting the majorityof people.

The economist who wrote the best on effective demand was Keynes, but much of this is going back to Adam Smith, who described the workings of the market in his 'Wealth of Nations' book.

Thank you , now I know where you are coming from. However, I did ask a couple of questions that you seem to have forgotten to answer, an over sight I am sure, so I will ask them again.

Do you really believe that an elite super rich can keep an economy bouyant by their spending alone?

Also do you really believe that a small (comparitively) elite should live in unsurpassed luxury whilst every-one else can only satisfy the basic needs of life?

Given your knowledge and convictions I am sure that you can reply to these simple questions in your own inimitable way.

Oh dear Xerxes - that last bit is one of those comments were you 'prove yourself to be unreasonable' - Gsmart will be taking his ball home with him :D

Actually sod this, you have proved yourself to be unreasonable, I have no need for this. Go and look it up yourself, or maybe read something.

Everyone knows how screwed the world is, it is as obvious as the nose on your face. However I find your conclusions to be lacking in thought and at times quite abhorrent, while your tendency to attack the character of those who disagree with you stinks of immaturity.

Goodbye

mmm - afraid the reply on china didn't really help me much and I had such great expectations. I'd better go and 'read something' (thats me told). Could I borrow some of your exercise books before you go, kidda? :)

This sort of fingers crossed market theology is what Gmarthews is arguing should be taught to all school kids on another thread.

Absolutely - I would like to get a better insight into Elton John's tickets role in the overall process and reckon Gsmarts 'upper management' insight could assist

But the upper management works very hard to keep the orders coming in and to keep all the arms moving in the same direction as it were.

thanks so, so much Gsmart *swoons* (sorry, am i making assumptions again?...)

If you had actually studied philosophy more deeply than looking at a single website you'd realise that hard determinism is one position amongst many and the debate has been going on for hundreds of years.

I think he finds your inclination to lecture about disciplines you have a surface knowledge of a little irritating.
