The September London Walk

*waves back @ Liberty & Mango5 * - have fun whatever you're up to..

i am thinking that snackwise tomorrow is going to be a satay peanut day :)

i think i'll be going from Charing Cross, jus' lookin up train times at tfl.gov.uk but there's about eight Hayes, none obviously the main one, anyone know which one do i need?

Seeing as you've never been on a London Walk, it's not really that surprising that you're not coming on this one.

oddly some of us dont have every weekend free to go on walks. and its only because i have leave that i have this w/e off. i normally work this one which means i cant come on the walks.

i was merely pointing out something rather important was happening in london
(which i've taken leave for)

Eight Hayes  or 8 times?

Not sure of times but will get one that gets me there just before half past one:)

Me and Blind Lemon and Russ the excitable labrador are leaving Brixton at noon, so should be getting a train about half twelvish.

Should we meet at London Bridge by the Cookie stall? Mouse can calm Russ down :D

Yeah, right. I hope there'll be no tarty behaviour from young Mouse tomorrow. :D

Probably best just to get on the train if one comes -- we'll end up meeting sooner or later, anyway.

Hayes is the last stop on the line, so you can't miss it (unless you fall asleep and go back into London!).

Weather's looking good, bright and sunny. I think it's a bit colder out here than in town, so bring your coats.

Damn and blast, woke up too late to get it together to come on this - and we were really looking forward to it as well. Sorry Maggot. :(

I hope it's a good one...and that the weather's currently looking more promising down in Hayes than it is in Crystal Palace...

...and we won't be sparing anything to be there early doors this evening.

That was ace!
Thanx for organising that, Maggot, local historian extraordinaire!
Nice little pubs along the way, plenty of woods, good company, lovely :)

Particularly loved the story of the (ahem) 'well' that floweth to make the Ravensbourne.

Good to meet you Christo! :)

If anyone missed this walk and wants to do it, I shall be taking a non-urbanite group on the same walk this saturday (1st). The only difference is we'll be leaving the pub an hour earlier.
