The Secret Policemans Ball

I saw the Natalie Imbruglia bit, which was ok, and Russell Brand, who was rubbish. Never seen him doing anything other than those Big Brother links before. Haven't missed much.

Russel Brand was pretty good - but I thought he seemed well nervous for the first few minutes.

I don't really like the Mighty boosh guys that much, the show is just OK in my opinion. But respect to them for not "normalling it down" for a general crowd at the Albert Hall - they kept it true to their cause.

I wasn't really impressed, turned off after a bit of the american woman, just wasn't working for me.

The mime was funny, as was Russel Brand. The rest was at best mediocre.

Sarah Silverman. I thought she was funny. Her last line was great.

And the Boosh were ace. Obviously.
They didn't show Dylan Moran. :(

Didn't they! I taped this for the express purpose of seeing him.

Well to post around to other people on the fansite. They'll be disappointed!

whats with all the support for russell brand?

i thought we'd already agreed on a previous thread that he is a cunt.

I've just had a horrendous flashback.

Graham Norton, Ronnie Ancona and that other impressionist bloke who annoys me. What a heap of fucking shite.

Impressionists are SHITE.

seconded, the worst part of the show for me was once he did his stand up bit he said that he would be back later, i was very dissapointed but then very happy when i saw when he came back all he was was the dead body in cluedo :D.... twat

i have to say
i thought the irish guy before chebby chase was cuttin it fine
i mean. with all the islamic problems.
he was asking for it.
Surprising that Amnesty could even say they were proud to have such things said.

He was joking, y'know.
He is a comedian.

And if comedians weren't allowed to make any jokes that might offend someone, there wouldn't be any jokes left to make.

Agreed.

But there's an unwritten rule that the humour has to be enough to justify the offence. Otherwise you're just being a twat.

Is a shame cos he can be really funny - saw him live a few years back.

He seems to have started this 'mock offensive bloke' thing when before it was simple observational stuff and really pretty good. I guess you need a 'niche' to get on . .

Love Eddie, he can do no wrong in my eyes.
Love Boosh....Noel Fielding's face...it makes me laugh.
And Barry from Stenders said 'cunt'

I enjoyed it.

LOLOLOL. tbh I was only half watching it, but that was one of my belly laugh moments. That and when he told the guy to fuck off.

I must have a very simple sense of humour. :(

Heh after I went  I chuckled @ it even though I dislike the word.

And anyway.....there's all kinds of humour. I like most of them. :)

the natalie umbruloewfhieb(sp?) mime fella was moderately entertaining

i thought that was great, the incongruity of her joining the miming at the end was a hoot.
