The run-in

The old regime at Dulwich ran at least one strippers' night when I lived in London, placing it in the 90's. I refused to go but believe a few people who post on here can fill in more details on the event........
I think you're confused...there was a "Gentlemans' Evening" or two back in the old days...

From memory a Gentleman's Evening was the exact title Farnborough used for their cancelled event.

There were certainly supporters present as I vividly remember one describing the climax to the event. Suffice to say it was a bit eye opening.

I won't name the person. It's a personal choice whether to go to this sort of event and it was a long time ago.

I only posted the initial comment as we should perhaps be careful calling out Farnborough for trying to run a Gentleman's Evening when our club has previously done the same.

My comment was a bit tongue in cheek. It was about 1990 as it was at the old ground.

There were a couple, early Nineties, upstairs too, at the new ground.

I recall a couple of birthdays, close to each other, early to mid-Nineties, when a stripper was hired to walk in the bar, for a 'birthday surprise'. A couple of weeks later, the same happened for someone else...cue, much groaning, when it was the same woman!
Having just typed that...maybe 'groaning' wasn't quite the right word I should have used...;)
