The ridiculing of David Shayler

You tell me.

That is what you usually do.

:)

Well, i have no reason to suspect it is not open today. But in any case, i don't think 'usually' is a fair description. I've done it a few times, but then it simply was my opinion that you weren't operating with a sufficiently open mind on those times.

And today i think is a day for more closed minds anyway, first day of the season, so time for lots of reasoned and objective debate in the pub...

Fair enough i didn't click on the link, but is he saying therefore that the brain is inside the mind...? Now that's a very interesting concept! I'll try and get my head around that, but surely the mind is in the brain...

He's basically saying, don't be a credulous twat.:)
Have a read of the link and you will see the life of a very interesting and clever person who was extremely open-minded, but rigorously scientific in his approach.

I will, but i've got three football matches to watch now... i did have a peek, but time's run out for now.

It often appears that you live your life according to only scientifically proven ways, and can only entertain an idea if it's been peer-reviewed.

If someone's done something that you can't verify personally, and is not scientifically proven, you simply don't accept this happening. Too much conditioning mate.
Right, so you think people should accept things that they can't verify personally but have no hard external evidence for, yes? That being the case, how do you distinguish between the truth and nonsense? Handy for those who wish to decieve and control others perhaps, but not a great recipe for a sane and rational society.

Where is this sane and rational society? I believe everything is subjective.

christianity and Islam are both there to control and decieve people. With Islam becomming the leading light of the far left:rolleyes:

aggravated by skunk

I am reliably informed he lost it when he stopped.

Lost it big-time:

Mr Shayler, barefoot but wearing men's clothing, said that his right to stay in the property rested on his belief that he is a reincarnation of Jesus Christ.

"You are looking at the man who has the power to give all authority on the planet and all wealth," he said.

"We are going to stay, I am the lawful user of this place.

"I have publicly claimed under oath that I am the Lord Jesus Christ which means that I am the highest authority under the law and that trumps everything."

Man in news says shit like this. It's a slow news day even for the silly season. It's a story :D

Jesus has only been around for 500 years befor that the supposed guy who died on cross was called yeshau.

I am the reincarnation of yeshua jesus is just an imitation;)

But your own subjective interpretation:p
Care to take up my challenge, above? After all, it's all just subjective, isn't it?

You wouldn't live in a house built by people who thought that geometry and the laws of physics were simply matters of subjective interpretation, yet you're willing to base your beliefs about the nature of reality itself on the same kind of sloppy thinking. Foolish, to say the least.
