The ridiculing of David Shayler

Check out Jon Ronson's book "Them". A respected journalist (no doubt conspiraloon to you).
He hangs round with extremists in order to write the book. Some nazis tell him about the Bilderberg group. He thinks "what a load of bollocks" ....until he checks it out and sees loads of heads of state/newspaper proprietors, and Mandelson gather for a meeting in remote Spanish woodland.
Years later a known fraudster Mandelson who is supposedly enemy of Brown, is invited back into Govt.
The govt just sit there alienating their own supporters and watching all their voters drift off, never trying to do anything about it....

What about all those who attended bilderberg meetings and lost power/were never invited back?

if thats what the papers say it must be true.
now to sort out all them darkies taking my job

It's not what the papers say - indeed, very few newspapers bothered with it as a reason, having far more fun spinning out the paparrazi chase narrative and focusing on other stuff.

But it's the reason she died. Same as the 200 or so peeps in the UK who die from not wearing their rear seatbelts in cars every year.

The Bilderberg group is just a bunch of rich, powerful people networking.
The episode in 'Them' is really about how one man is absolutely fascinated by the Bilderberg group and how he is desperate to uncover evidence of something other than a bunch of very powerful and high-profile people networking in a highly security conscious and publicity-averse environment.

No such evidence is found. But it is an interesting and amusing episode about the fanaticism of the conspiracy theorist/truth-seeker, and the whole book is a wry exploration of how people become extremist in their searc for meaningful truth.

As to the bilderberg club - it is only to be expected that powerful and influential people want to meet up and share ideas, and network - for their own personal interest and benefit as much as anything - and that they would want to do so discreetly since they are in the public eye most of the time and 'on duty'.

This is not exactly shocking, or at least it shouldn't be to anyone who grasps how humans have always sought power and influence, and how powerful influential humans have always sought further power and influence.

So it's such a shady, sinister and secretive meeting that a random hack can get in? :D

Well, before pretty Tony came onto the scene, Mandy and Gordo were a tight alliance in the Labour party - Mandy, rightly, saw Blair as a better chance of winning a GE; this is the reason GB and PM fell out originally. The whole 'supposedly an enemy' thing was 50% media invention, 50% fact - Brown was pissed at PM for years for what he saw as a betrayl by a friend; his decision to recall PM to the cabinet from his custy EU job was as much down to PMs abilities as a manager (and the fact that irrespective of people's feelings about him, he's generally a savvy poltical operator)

As to Shayler, failed Sunday Times hack, failed M15 desk officer, failed leader of the UK 9/11 Truth Movement, he has always had a narcissistic desire to be important and this rather banal middle-aged breakdown, aggravated by skunk and the adulation of fools is just the latest chapter in a rather long-drawn out history of trying to get attention.

I'm quite surprised that he passed the psych exam when he was recruited as a paper-shuffling DESK officer in M15 on a low grade civil servants wages back in the day...

the book was written a good few years ago and mentions the bildeberg desire for a Euro superstate....then what happens? Mandy gets a cushy EU job!!

people who think shayler was EVER worth listening to may care to reflect that he didn't quit mi5 because they were too intrusive and evil, but because they weren't efficient enough in his opinion.

Spot on, BK knows it.

why not read the book and make your own minds up? A fucking good read, even if it does go against your beliefs that govts can do nothing wrong or underhanded!

also, while I doubt there is anything more to the Queen Of Hearts' demise than "bloke crashes car", I wouldn't give a toss if she was murdered with a butcher knife by Prince Philip, naked, with a hardon

Actually if the establishment has taken to murdering royals I think this is a positive development.

ha ha i see your point, only this was a royal that pissed off the royals so she wasn't quite on that sorta level...

Yeah, it does seem like he's getting rather alot of news time, for someone who's just a cross dressing squatter. Maybe they want to discredit anything he says by getting us to all think he's mental. Maybe they used some top secret "spy away" mind control device on him to make him go a bit.....mental. He's also a freeman on the land, I wonder how he'll try and use that in court. He's got some youtube video of him where he apparently won in court using freeman on the land "laws" (he told the judge that he was a sovereign spiritual being and not property of the goverment and that he was jesus, I think they told him to go away so they could giggle)

Its because shyler has had some kind of break down. and he may ramble on about something he shuld not be talking about. My mates met shyler and says he is just a dope head and a harmless new ager type.

The targets are pretty immaterial really. It's the sport that counts, and any target will do. Britain is world-class in ridiculing and humiliating. It's in the psyche.
