The restaurant

Actually, it's based on is the Australian series "My Restaurant Rules". First series was shown on Living TV last year, and was rather good. There seemed to be far more emphasis on building the restaurant from nothing, and it was shot in more of a fly-on-the-wall style with none of the tedious "Apprentice-isms" like the big spooky house in the country and other fake dramatic devices that UK broadcasters seen to think are mandatory.

'Retarded' was bleeped!? First time I've seen that :)

yes that was wierd - i dont think they should have done that - its not a swear word and it shows someones character - the language they use etc - so why was she bieng bleeped?

so glad they have gone tho - he was such a cock - if i ever see him in real life i will be hard pressed not to shout insults at him

i think the mother and son team should be out next - they creep me out

They remind me of a pimp and his whore. Who are mother and son. So yes, quite creepy really.

Mr Jazz drummer bloke? I don't think he ever wanted to win. He was hoping to be musically discovered as he cared more about his music than getting food ready. Such a knobend.

Mother and son team are creepy aren't they!

Yep....pompous twats of the highest order.

The Ghanian couple had better stay! I love the twins...they're ace :D

Its like the Apprentice, you need to multiskill, plan and have some modicom of common sense. I watched lots of that from behind my fingers too.
Any show where you are like: *I* could honestly do better... *shakes head* I cant watch!

Bravo are proper casulaties though.

They understand so little. Advertising themselves as 'contemporary English' and then having a BBQ? Her woeful explanation of her brand had me flapping my hands and diving under cushions. These are going, for sure.

I'm watching it now on Sky Plus playback.

Pay for cooking lessons and watch someone read a recipe out of a book !!!!

I know!! :D

Aqua- you HATE 8 in the country?! That had me creasing! I like a girl who gets into her telly!

I actually think I do, they don't deserve that place

yeah, cooking from a book, fucking it up and forgetting the crab from crab cakes

i mean, really

I really like the Scottish couple. They've got a little baby and she's five months' pregnant (not the baby) or is that to do with the editing? I'm surprised that the twins are up for eviction but it's probably their turn. It's got to be them or Ghana on a plate to win. Prison cook and bingo lady are bloody hopeless.
Msr Blanc is a lovely man I think.

I thought Msr Blanc was rather harsh on the twins, personally I think they're the only ones with a chance of winning. Mind the Scottish guy and his wife could be contenders.

I only ever catch the last 10 minutes or so of this programme, when waiting for Heroes to start, so it may be that I'm missing some essential knowledge of them. But they are creepy as fuck! Those blank plastic faces, those eyebrowless stares...they're straight out of the Village of the Damned FFS!

The producers no doubt told him that they wanted to see them in a challenge.

Its a fair point though that he wants people who can not just do well but improve and expand on their success if there is scope to do so.

I don't and I want them to win!

they have a great place, a great idea but didn't seem to move forward this week. They didn't explain green and brown except verbally (which isn't branding) and they gave too much away free

Divorce in the offing? Bonzer!?

*likes twins*

*without even having had a threesome fantasy yet*

*admires own grown-upness*

How rude is that guy Jeremy to his wife though? He absolutely will not listen to any advice or constructive criticism from his wife at all.
As a result he fails, repeatedly, making a totaly prick of himself over and over. He is really unpleasant. I want to hit him.

I really wanted the other couple to go tonight. I think Jeremy is a complete blank sheet and am sick of her tears!!!

I couldn't agree more, it was unjust. Jeremy got the 'I've been in Afghanistan for three months' excuse out. Disgraceful. Either compete or sod off.

I normally don't like this sort of thing but it's about food. So I watched it last night....

Those twins were pathetic if you ask me. Marketing their brand as 'ethical' / sustainable.... but when they were asked about the sustainability of the cod...

Twin 1: Erm... I don't know (looks at twin 2) do you?

Twin 2: No

Later on, Raymond told them about how cod has seriously overfished for the last 10 years and that the stocks were seriously depleted. He asked another question about where the cod came from. One of them replied something to the effect of

"well... I asked the fishmonger in Selfridges and he said he doesn't know anything about it and that it would be perfectly fine!"

Jesus...
