The problem of unveiled women

He's not a top cleric - the secular society's report is misleading. He's a outspoken, backwards-thinking country-bumpkin who assisted in the unlawful (according to Islamic law) murder of his own son, and whose opinion can be thoroughly argued against according to the laws enshrined within Islam.

According to Islamic law, only G0D has the right to take a life. That should go some way to explaining to him why these women and their husbands are still alive.

Aaaaah, but you see, the law has to be interpreted and policed by someONE [read God on Earth]... And he humbly prostrates himself before the people to take the mantle.... rightfully, of course....

All religions have their fraggly minority. And sometimes when they gain power they abuse people with it. Christianity was a bit like that in some parts 3-400 years ago. I don't think I would have wanted to live under the reignof Ferdinand and Isabella any more than one run by the mullahs.
The west and christanity for the most past has grown up when is islam going to catch up ?

300-400 years ago is an historically inaccurate assessment. KBJ so quickly forgets that just over sixties years ago, Catholics participated in murdering Jews and Muslims and Gays and Dissidents and Roma and Disabled in Europe. In fact, the broken-and-about-to-die in the concentration camps were nicknamed 'Musselmaenner' (Muslims). Catholics also murdered other (rival) Christian groups - non-conformist, Eastern Orthodox, so a seriously flawed assessment there, KBJ.

its 1428 according to the islamic calender so another 4 to 500 years to go :(
the wests religious fuckwits and mostly corralled in a small corner and surrounded by police so that drunken people going to pride don't twat them :(.
personally if your so offended by gays stay away from pride don't expect the police to waste time and effort keeping you from getting a kicking for shouting abuse:rolleyes:

Not all Catholics perpetrated the Shoah but the Vatican did turn a blind eye to what was going on. However I do take your point that Christians killing those of other faiths didn't end with the enlightenment.

off topic

I saw the motley collection of religious loons at Pride this year. Also the NF were there on their own (about 5 people) and they were corralled in a separate bit from the religious loons as not even the religious loons dont' seem to want to be associated with the NF :D

I'm not talking about only the Shoah - I'm talking about the whole of the European Holocaust. And the Vatican did not turn a blind eye to what was going on - they wholeheartedly participated in it and gave it their full support.

I suspect that there were far more than 5 NF there, it's just that the great mass of them were participants, rather than protesters! :p

Suggestion for new thread title

"A Novelty on U75! JHE quotes Lunatic in Iran asserting Lunatic is not a Lunatic but The Representative Voice of Islam."

salaam.

Up to and including funding some of the rat-lines to South America, post-WW2.

That's a good idea.

Unfortunately it would also be a "callout" thread, and would therefore be binned.

Perhaps it's far better to carry on as normal and take the opportunity to show JHE up for the islamophobic twit that he is? ;)

From the National Secular Society's latest mailing:

Iranian clerical fanatic says unveiled women should die

A top Muslim cleric in Iran, Hojatolislam Gholam Reza Hassani said on Wednesday that women in the country who do not wear the hijab should be killed.

"Women who do not respect the hijab and their husbands deserve to die," said Hassani, who leads Friday prayers in the city of Urumieh, in Iranian Azerbaijan. "I do not understand how these women who do not respect the hijab, 28 years after the birth of the Islamic Republic, are still alive," he said.

"These women and their husbands and their fathers must die," said Hassani, who is the representative of the Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei in eastern Azerbaijan.

Hassani's statements came after two Kurdish feminists in Iran were accused of being members of an armed rebel group and of carrying out subversive activities threatening the security of the state. It is believed that his statements and the arrests could spark a fresh crackdown on women who do not abide by the Islamic dress code in Iran. Thousands of women in Iran have already been beaten this year for their "un-Islamic dress" such as wearing tight, short coats and skimpy headscarves.

It seems a bit harsh, but I think it's fair enough really. It's not picking on women. The cleric has explained that the husbands and fathers should also be killed for not keeping their women properly veiled.

Any objections?

JHE, thanks for bringing this outrage to our attention. I, like many here I'm sure, was previously unaware of the beastliness of Muslims and of Iranians in particular. I'd like to join you in your crusade and if possible contribute in some way to killing them.

regards

May I suggest that you use JHE as a club to bludgeon them to death with? ;)
