I try to bring a little lightheartedness and frippery into the humdrum drudge lives of urbanites and am I appreciated? I think I'll go back to femail, they liked me there - begged me not to leave. Just one more joke before you go madz, one more, please. I said 'No, it's a better place I go to'.

:(

*waves*

Bye then!!

I don't mean it really, i appreciate your comic genius even if no-one else does :)

My rescue border collie is a complete nutter with rubber legs. Our curtains would get ripped if they were stuck to the ceiling. :(
My curtains dont get closed until we go to bed. I still need to re sew the hem where the dogs have caught it with their claws and broken the stitching.

But gemini - I was merely recycling, adjusting, adapting in an effort to bring some joy. I put my own comedic integrity aside. No-one thinks of that do they? :(

I know sweetie, it was _pH_ who gave the wrong punchline <shakes head> Silly _pH_ :D

NO YOU'RE NOT!! If I can't have kitteh then you can't have one either so ner!

Besides, you haven't attempted to flounce to get a kitteh! You have to do that first!

No, cos I'm not from the 50s or before back in those olden days when everyone had nets, and left their doors open an' all that. Gor blimey.

My Nan does tho. We're trying to get her onto blinds (we had some lovely blinds when I was a wee lad, tops they were), but she's having none of it.

OMFG! I'm in the cooknig and baking place!!!

Yeah but we're all friends again now though innit? Like school playground rows :)

kyser - i dont really see the advantage of blinds over nets - i like light and being able to see outside, i dont like people seeing in (it would mean i have to be tidy!!)

slotty blinds are odd, i think they look nice (specially wooden ones) from outside but are not so nice from indoors

fabric rollerblind type things are too all or nothing

nets are a nice in between and are ok as long as they are plain and simple

imo

Yeah, well you'll have to stay around, I didn't get enough donations for a decent present. You can't get much these days for 37p, a paper clip and a couple of buttons. :(

:( :(

That won't even get half a kitteh :(

i have plain voiles in most of my windows but in my front room (which is the where visitors look when they come to my front door) I have boudoir curtains. Long strings that drape from floor to ceiling as thats the height of the window, they sway in a breeze, let loads of light through and are genuinely gorgeous. Am worried about them when I get this kitten, i once caught by neighbours cat on its back playing with them as they are all stringy and interesting to cats.

Oooh, good idea!

I am not allowed kittehs in my flat and have no gardeny outside area to lure them to though. But I know someone who will have soon, so yeah, I'll have the kitteh food after all!

Right, if you've quite finished talking about kittens can we get back to the important things in life please?

I don't like nets. I think they look shite.

I use blinds where overlooked or dark is needed and nothing elsewhere. In theory somebody could spot me naked in the bedroom with binoculars but tbh I'm likely to spot them with my binoculars in time to prevent embarassment.
