I'd have them up if I lived in a house where you could see in, but I don't need them where i live now. You'd need quite a telescope to see in up here!

it is but no need to derail a thread either :)

we have a voile thing at our front window cos we're overlooked but not in any other windows :)

none of what?

and how is it 'your' thread, you do know it's a discussion board don't you? :)

I have changed it to 'this' thread already and it's a thread about net curtains, not a venue to have a dig at other posters.

The 'potentially explosive' bit was a joke not an invitation.

I can't work out whether it's chavs or gyppos.

Nets for me - right on a path so my epensive goods can be observed by all. They still allow the peeps on horses to appear in tho.

Oi! This is a nice thread about nice net curtains with nice people

It's also in suburban and we don't have petty bickering in suburban*

*unless it's about pancetta v lardons

Good.

I've just remembered, the teenager has a voile at her front window as she is on the ground floor and her curtains don't quite meet properly.

Id love to get blinds for all the windows, bloody expensive though! :(

I've been looking at roman blinds for our 2 front bay windows and a smaller front upstairs one but the prices are astronomical!

How do make a roman blind?

No point in having net curtains with 2 dogs. They would get ripped to shreds.
Keep them in a kennel where the nets couldnt hurt them then ;)

My rescue border collie is a complete nutter with rubber legs. Our curtains would get ripped if they were stuck to the ceiling. :(

Is this joke going to be as funny as Passdout's one about the dogs and the net curtains? Cos that was very funny and made me laugh lots and lots and lots and lots.

Keep them in a kennel where the nets couldnt hurt them then........:D :D :D

Go on then, lets hear yours...............

No, silly

You get some nice fabric, some curtain rod, some eyelets and a sewing machine

tsk - some people

That's a rubbish punchline madz, it doesn't scan or anything. I prefer mine

I try to bring a little lightheartedness and frippery into the humdrum drudge lives of urbanites and am I appreciated? I think I'll go back to femail, they liked me there - begged me not to leave. Just one more joke before you go madz, one more, please. I said 'No, it's a better place I go to'.

:(

But your punchline was from the 'how do you make a venetian blind' joke :p

If I had these things: some nice fabric, some curtain rod, some eyelets and a sewing machine
I'd still have them years down the line as individual items :D

Poor Madz. I feel for you :(

But gemini - I was merely recycling, adjusting, adapting in an effort to bring some joy. I put my own comedic integrity aside. No-one thinks of that do they? :(
