The Politics of the Workhouse!

just 'rather laboured' i reckon :)

fuck whats wrong with P&P has it become 'depressive's and hyper-manic's corner' or something? (i mean, i know theres element of that in all those politico types but...)

I suspect he sees himself as one of those "working class hero" types like tbaldwin. Thinks he's a socialist while speaking the politics of the right.

Surely the tax payer would save money if everyone on any benefit and/or unemployed is shot? In fact why not hire private contractors to form PFI einzats groups to do the work?

Good idea but sufffering first, then death, as that means more pain.

Individualism, work being great, that kind of stuff. I struggle to see anything socialist in your posts.
I'm reading a book called Violence by Slavoj Zizek and there's a chapter where he corruscates against liberal communists, which he contends as an ideology has replaced neo-con policy and approach, and is probably more insidious and reactionary. Whilst also thriving on scientific notions of progress that don't always stand up to critical debate, it creates ideal conditions of cause and effect essentially to drive through "progressive" actions that are simply reactions of a wider "violent" philosophy. There's obv lots more to it than that but its food for thought when you read the drivel that some "socialists" appear driven to pursue.

Nigel, you've been missed. ;)
Sorry been a bit busy.
Is there any point just replying to insults?

I would suggest some discussion about this subject.
History of unemployed workers within Trade Union Structures vs The Introduction of Claimants Unions.
