The Peter Serafinowicz Show

I managed to catch the last minute of Vyle and the first of Serafinowisc. Made me realise how infrequntly I watch the BBC nowdays. 'Thursdays are funny', are they? Not quite mate :(

Watched it last night for the first time ... and it wasn't as bad as I expected it to be! Fairly hit and miss (like most sketch shows) but it had the odd moment that made me laugh :)

Seemed a very unlikely person to be given his own show.
Mainly crap, couple of times bearable.

I really liked it. Yeah it's not overly original, but made me laugh. His impressions are spot on (Kevin Spacey last week was brilliant) and I love the Brian Butterfield character.

"You can eat anything! Pizza! Hoisin duck! Mystery meat! Bonbonbonbons!" :D

That kind of spoofing just feels like it's been done so many times before. Problem is, Brass Eye set a high standard and no one's really matched it.

Comparing anything to Brass Eye is an exercise in futility.

There was one charecter he was doing last night (the "lessons in acting by ..." sketch) which was well bizarre. It came across as being an impression of Leonard Rossiter (a very good one, too!), but it was meant to be someone else (who I can't rememebr the name of).

My girlfriend is friends with Peter and his brother James who does a lot of the co-writing.

PSS - crap
Look Around You - absolutely brilliant.

Each week there's like, two maybe three sketches which are absolut gems, really funny... and the rest of it is pretty awful.

I think it's pretty good but wish there wasn't that shitty dancing between sketches.

Look around you 30min was shit but the 5 minute ones were pretty good. Not sure if peter had anything to do with those or not.

Just watching these for the first time on youtube - im finding them really funny and ive got an irrational aversion to Peter S.

agree with AS though - it was the dancing in the intro that put me off the show first time around

definitely deserved his own series and shame they only made one - i guess viewing figures were poor - i reckon itll become a cult fav of the future
