The People Writing Contest, voting anonymity or no?

I'm just waiting for scifisam to get back to me and then I'll post up a new, anonymous, poll.

I don't think it's that big of a deal. Some people thought it was going to be anon, proceeded under the impression, when udw made a mistake on the poll they wanted to withdraw. That's fair enough.

I just think it's been embarassing and made a remarkable effort appear shambolic. This fuss is of a calibre you might expect from the SWP. Either way I'm making it worse so I'll shut up, but I hope in future people consider the net effect of fighting for whatever argument.

I do wish I'd just put up and shut up despite really not liking the unexpected change in rules. But then, all I did was take my story off and put up one very, very non-tantrummy post - it's not like I planned to ruin the party for everyone else, which is now how it seems.

@Belushi: Sorry, didn't see your PM in time. Probably best that I keep out of the whole thing now anyway. At least I got an OK story out of it.

Oh, I'm not going to run away weeping that I'll never play with you lot again. Best not this month though, eh? I genuinely am very pleased that I got a story out of it - I don't know about the rest of you, but I find it hard to write without some sort of external motivation or challenge. Shame no-one's going to read the story now, but maybe I'll find somewhere else to post it.

Oh I'll read it-I never shut this beast down (cept on friday, sat and sun nights) and the pre-withdrawal story will be there in the window I haven't closed for 3 days

Yeah. I have my two books which are in eternal need of 'the last twenty pages'. I keep putting it off in fear that I might have to actually attempt to do something with the buggers when they're finished.

Well, one has no chance of being published, it's just too random. The other one has a theoretical chance thereof. Froggie has read it.
