Agree with someone else though that the days of true Oscar disaster seem to be sadly passed, although Gwynnie almost revisited her dreadful see-thru goth look with that bizarre orange net number.
yeah stylists are getting better and better, unfortunately.
i noticed some of them had weird hair and make up though, alot of them looked super pale?! which i like normally, because i am pasty white (*cough* i'm an english rose thankyou) but they looked fake white
Freaky...perhaps someone somewhere has invented an anti-tan machine. Or perhaps it's just the naturally-occurring equal and opposite reaction to years of rampant tanorexia in Hollywood.
I thought J-Lo's big hair was pretty hilarious. She looked like a telenova star
I've heard so much about The Lives of Others, As usual - living in the UK - we seem to be last again to get new films here, despite it already deservedly winning sn Oscar.
I have spoken to a several people who have seen it in recent months and rated it so highly, some of whom weren't expecting much or had been put off a little by the pretext of the film.
I believe it will finally be released here in April. Despite being a foreign language film, I very much hope it gets the critical acclaim here that it has done elsewhere the past few months, topped off by a fine Oscar win!
Makes such a refreshing change from the countless repetitively scripted (so-called) Hollywood blockbusters.
I will hunt it out when it comes out at the cinema here!
Glad to hear all the support for Lives of Others. I'm always a bit dubious about Oscar winners but when good people give good advice then I'm in. Also the competition was so intense that it must really stand out.
There are lots of clips on youtube that you should check out to get the drooling on. If this is anything like or even better than previous German releases then we are in for a bit of a treat.
