belboid

Exasperated, not angry.
yes folks, the LDV Vans kicks off tonight!

We're at home to Lincoln City and are gonna show them what it takes to be a truly world class team, one with recently ex-players playing for England. Under-21's.

Your can keep ya Fa's and stuff ya League Cups,
the LDV Vans Trophy is what we alls bigs ups.

So who else do you fancy? I must say I am slightly concerned over Crawley....

aaah, thats the Villa trophy cabinet aint it?

no we have trophys in ours....though st andrews does boast a mickey mouse cup to go with there league trophy...lucky devils!

the amount of money they save on trophy polish...no wonder we never have a transfer kitty

Villa fans would kill for any silverware wouldn't they?

ANyways, this is all terribly exciting. Poor old Bury are getting tanked at the Shay, Franchise FC have lost a two goal lead at home to Exeter, the C*ty are losing at Underhill :D and Forest are 3-2 down at Woking!

Bristol's premier side are 1-1 at Posh, extra time looms...

Franchise 3-2 up with a pen after Chris Vinnicombe (remember him and his transfer from Devon to Ibrox?) was sent off for Exeter. :(

Barnsley 1 Doncaster Rovers 5

There's a result they never thought they'd see in South Yorkshire when Barnsley were in the Prem and Donny languished in the Conference...

You cunt.

I didn't even know. City are 30 minutes away and I didn't go.

:D

It's OK, they'll be fielding a second string side. Not 'cos it's the LDV, just 'cos all their players seem to be helping police with their enquiries atm :D

Notts Cuntwipes seem to be going out at Sixfields, never a bad thing.

jittug's LDV roundup - all the thrills, spills and shocks

OK, so in the least surprising result of the round, C*ty have crashed out to Barnet. That's twice the Bees have knocked them out of Cup competitions this season, hope they get drawn together in the FA Cup too :D

Swindle have managed to shock everyone and win a match, defeating Stevenage in the battle of the world's dullest towns.

Halifax have twatted Bury 6-1.

Cambridge are another Conference winner, 3-0 over Chester. Kiddy upset Darlo as well while Hereford won at Field Mill.

Crawley have taken Gillingham to extra time at Priestfield. Good, nobody likes Gillingham... Morecambe in extra time at grimsby, Dagenham & Redbridge similar at Wycombe, same for Accrington at Millmoor.

Prem sides don't know what they're missing out on (well Birmingham, West Brom, Wigan, Fulham and Man City do, they've played in it pretty recently :D )

It's a right ding dong at Bloomfield Road, Wrexham went 3-2 up in extra time, it's now 4-3 to Blackpool! Not even half time in extra time yet either.

Stanley have just gone ahead at Rotherham.

Rovers losing at London Road though :(

:D

we havent been knocked out in the first round!

truly this is the start of the return of the deadly submariners!

only 40-1 for the title

We'll take any win at the moment! Last time we played Stevenage was in the FA Cup on one of the wettest and windiest days I've ever experienced at football, and they beat us.

Boo fucking hoo, Oldham are out. Fucking good! It's a pointless worthless competition,i'm sure we must lose money by taking part in it cos only about 37 people and a giant owl turn up to the matches, and it speaks volumes about Brian Talbot's managerial 'genius' that he actually took the LDV Vans trophy seriously while we were plummeting down the league last year.

But,er,congratulations to trannmere and everything. :p

it's been the second round draw!

we'll be entertaining Rochdale for the first time in 17 years! Sometime in the week commencing 21 November.

Gonna be great stuff.

The full draw:

Northern section
Tranmere v Rochdale
Boston v Kidderminster
Hereford v Port Vale
Morecambe v Bradford City
Carlisle v Blackpool
Rotherham v Macclesfield Town
Cambridge United v Doncaster Rovers
Halifax Town v Scunthorpe

Southern section
Peterborough v Swindon
Woking v Cheltenham
Barnet v MK Dons
Gillingham v Wycombe
Oxford United v Leyton Orient
Colchester v Northampton
Walsall v Bournemouth
Swansea v Rushden

How are Cambridge in the Northern Section when Northampton & Rushden are in Southern Section - Cambridge ahve to go past Northampton & Rushden to get to Doncaster

'cos the non league sides in it get split four teams in the south, four in the north to ensure there's an equal split of league and non league sides in each section.

Chester were in the southern section the other year and last year I remember Hereford being in the north - thought we'd be on for Rovers v Hereford in Cardiff at one stage.

Come on you mighty Herefordians !!! Let's have the vale out and so creating a Port Fail bating day or two !! :D

oh yes!

a famous victory, even after trailing 2-1 at half time!

there's shirley no stopping us now!!!

[that's enough exclamation marks - ed]
