    not sure if groups of people scaring the punters with their close harmony singing and strumming really the sign of a traditional pub.

    Yeah - I like it too. Often go there to watch the football. Pleasant staff, good food, decent mix of people.

    How long ago was that? The pub seems to have changed hands a few times already.

    i am not sure, I think it must be about 15 years, maybe less, after the chemists shut it became a restaurant iirc

    Around 2000/1/2 it was a chemist. Was certainly empty around then.

    When I was putting up posters for HDIF in Camberwell, this pub was the first to say yes - they didn't mind that it was at another venue and judging by the pics they're happy to take posters for anywhere, as long as they like the look of the night. One of the posters in the BB pics is for a night in central London! Nice friendly guys and a good attitude.
