I think Dadrock of old is now "Granddadrock" and the present batch of "dadrockers" are coldplay-loving Jamie Oliver types.
Not the Dire Straights-loving real dads that so many of us know and love.
AOR is probably what you and I think of as Dadrock.

I ticked Indie, because it's just as manufactured, formulaic and fake as the commercial pop it's fans claim to despise. It's also a genre people get into because they think it makes them 'cool'. So in other words, it's a genre for idiots.
