Aye, I felt much the same and voted Country as a result. As much as I hate the pretentious monotony of psy-trance, it's good to laugh at the poi-holding smegheads and even its keenest advocates tend to grow out of it.
Country - despite some decent tunes and artists - tends to be backward looking and seems to attract more than its fair share of tuneless rednecks with antediluvian views - albeit maybe working on the small working men's club circuit, with its succession of shite c&W acts has coloured my view somewhat. The other worrying thing is that, unlike Psy-kids, otherwise sensible adults seem to fall into increasingly tragic behaviour and modes of dress. Suede waistcoats, those stupid shoestring ties and oh the horror of cowboy boots on portly 50 years olds from Basingstoke, putting on silly accents. For that alone Country deserves the vote in my book.

I like tunes in the other genres *, can't really say I like any psy trance tunes, or funky house for that matter.

I love deep/chicago/acid house, which by it's very nature is "funky", but by having to usethe word funky in front of the word house automatically implies that it is infact funkless toss.

in fact, this excersise has proved that i hate a lot more genres than i had previously thought.
as for the poll. i'm a bit late, i can't think of just one genre for the chop - and it's obviously going to be r n b landslide.
