The NUM starts the comeback

A dodge is a move, not a particularly good one though.

I am doing fine politically, I organise several events, work with several unions and other organisations, get finance from various places, help to produce great publications, and I really could not give a fuck what the anarchist turds think... They are irrelevant and will always stay that way.

I suggest you ignore the anarchist 'usual suspects' too, their 'politics' are increasingly reactionary. Funnily enough the political 'anarchists' only got involved in the anti globalisation movement after it had taken off, so ignore them, they really haven't got their finger on the pulse.

ripping off yourself now, more n more pathetic.

Anyway, I'm off to the union meeting I've been organising for the last two months, so goodnight, sleep long and well

You seriously need to work on your comebacks, At-man.

Maybe need some tips from the D-Dawg?

Nah, I ain't got anything of use.

Here is a quote from the National Miners website - I underestimated the numbers at the Miners gala last year;

DURHAM MINERS' GALA - 12th Jul 2008The Historic Durham Miners Gala has been growing in numbers year-on-year. Last year the 123rd Gala attracted 70,000 people.

This year the 124th Gala will take place in Durham City once again and numbers are expected to increase yet again as the Gala takes on more and more of an international flavour.

Why not come to this wonderful family event and join in the fun?

EVERYONE WELCOME

SHELL JOINS CHASE FOR COAL GAS - 02 JUNE 2008

OFFSHORE oil and gas players used to call it "girlie gas".

However, despite the much smaller pipes involved in extracting coal seam gas, it has finally come of age.

There are now a pack of big international players jostling to be the first to get an LNG plant built at Gladstone in Queensland.

Yesterday European oil mammoth Shell threw its hat in the ring with a $776 million tie up with Arrow Energy and LNG International.

That follows Santos' $2.6 billion deal with Malaysian major Petronas to jointly develop and liquefy its coal seam methane reserves.

And the now spurned $13 billion proposal by British gas giant BG Group to take over Origin and its fast growing coal seam gas reserves.

Not to mention Sunshine Gas and Japan's Sojitz Corp's plans to build a Gladstone LNG plant.

All of which means that Gladstone will now almost certainly host one or even two LNG plants - a prospect that would have raised a belly laugh from the offshore gas guys a few years ago.

It will also make Australia the first country to convert coal seam gas into an LNG product.

All of which is great news for holders of coal seam gas minnows such as Eastern Star Gas, which yesterday closed at 79.5 cents compared to a January low of just 25 cents.

The only downside for gas consumers is that we can expect to see domestic gas prices march upwards quite strongly once the offshore "pipeline" is connected.

A Traditional Classroom often is set up with the desks in rows, the teacher's desk or table somewhere in front of the room, and student desks moved far enough apart to prevent easy wandering of eyes during tests. This arrangement packs desks into the room efficiently and lets student have easy access to their seats, but it certainly does not have to be the default room arrangement. The learning environment should be designed according to learning objectives and desired outcomes not just habit or a janitor's best guess. However, this arrangement is probably the best for preventing cheating on traditional testing days. The role of the teacher here seems that of a cop.

Durham Miners Gala 12th July 2008

I am going to be at this one with a stall, as I have been for the past 5 years or so.

Well some of you folks will have been to past ones, but this one is going to be the biggest for some time. Approx 50k went last year to see the 60 plus miners banners (more added every year currently) and brass bands, and this year the Gala subject is racism and the Chairman of Sunderland AFC will be talking, Niall Quinn, as well as other Labour movement figures.

There is a fun fair for the kids on open grassland, there is a large tea tent for those who like a sit down for a cuppa char, other food and drink, many local pubs (inc. the Colpitts which sells a pint of Sam Smiths for £1.28!), trader stalls, music/bands, Union tents and so on. All in all a good day out, and a good place to advertise the 2nd annual Working Class Bookfair in Durham this November 15th.

Whilst I have the greatest respect for Niall ( he came and washed up when the homeless hostel was occupied to stop it closing in Manchester) I wasn't aware that he was now a figure in he Labour movement. Have you appointed him or was he elected?

Quite right. 'other' should be removed from that paragraph.
