One good point - at least the weight of running the entire setup is now off KKs shoulders ( as KK had to do back in the old days )

Gary Macallister is bookies favourite. Cant see Bates being that imaginitive or populist though.

Mr Sheridan. As you say Bates is too thick to know why these names matter. A fatal heart attack would be nice.

maybe ashley and mort actually have no fucking idea about football. Have read a book about how it's done at real madrid and think they can recreate the same structure at Newcastle, with Dennis Wise in charge.

I that was my club (Man City) I'd be none too happy at them bringing in a property developer, a Spanish scout and a League One manager without consulting with Sven.

Exciting? Scary more like.

It says in the article that Keegan knew all about it from the start.
 
Gary Macs odds have been slashed to 25-1 on and their are reports that hes in spain in talks with Papa Smurf.

Could be good - he was a great player and an intelligent bloke. I think he a leading PFA member (chair?) as well which would suggest at least some ability to communicate and stand his ground.

Would be popular with fans and have respect from the players. Any coventry fans here? He was manager there for a brief spell before his wife got ill - any clues as to what he was like there?

I think Keegan, Cox, McDermott, Shearer, Wise, Morcombe, Corbett, Barker, Reeves and Mortimer could be the dream ticket for the Magpies.

Big Sam got a point against Arsenal at the end of last year didn't he? Bet he's shaking his head as he counts the contents of his wallet. Kevin Keegan's Comedy Club could well take Newcastle from mid table obscurity to an exciting end of season relegation dog fight.
 
wise id there as an emergency replacement, should super k fuck up- like Roeder was under the old regime.
 
Thats exactly what I thought.A lot of people I've spoken to are quite disappointed in Shearer at the moment.I know you shouldn't buy players for the sake of buying them but I think we'll be kicking ourselves that we've got no one in.I think we should flog Alan Smith.I don't mean sell him,I mean FLOG him.I've never seen him do anything for the team yet.And don't get me started about Carr,we might as well have Jimmy Carr on the pitch.
