The need for a no eating hot and cold food at your desk policy

In the jobs I have had I have always been able to eat at my desk, my only problem with it was when it started to get to the stage that I was excpected to eat my lunch at my desk....whilst working....another one of those stupid unwritten office rules. At this stage I stopped eating at my desk and left the office for every second of all my break entitlement.

I hate places like that.

or office Martyrs

Just take your fuckin break FFS

you can get those industrial covers for keyboards tends to get the message across or better still the kiddy proof keyboard

I am addicted to Heinz Big Soups at the moment! Having one of these babies every day with a pile of toast at my desk!!

Crumbs ahoy :)

Today I have left over curry which I will reheating and eating at my desk. It is a mixture of Chicken Madras, Lamb Bhuna and something else (do not recall).

People eating hot or cold food (no matter how smelly) at their desks doesn't bother me... what really pisses me off are the people who think its ok to liberally spray perfume/ hairspray/ deordorant/ anything aerosol based and smelly in the office and or toilets... eurch!

God yes. You go into the toilets some evenings if there's a 'do' on and you can hardly breathe in there. Yuck.

Exactly, so think of all the people (like me) that have asthma, or hayfever, which it can affect just as bad.

Broccoli & Stilton Covent Garden soup today

Pale, creamy and endlessly comforting - here's the tasty green of softened broccoli florets, the lively tang of mature stilton and lingering warmth of black pepper.

Made all the tastier by the fact it was purchased by a colleague who is off sick and it will be out of date by Monday :)
