Now if I was head of this agency who have just had a successful prosecution of those animal rights types.
I'd be scanning websites and magazines looking for the most extreme views and twisting them into some conspiracy to justify funding.
There are the odd nutjob and some people do lash out on demos though I doubt theres any planning more than if the pigs start I'll have them.
Hard to justify an agency to deal with the odd social hand grenade and glorify public order policing
Must be tough if your a potential threat to society though sorry uber hard core leftist group you don't justify security service phone tapping but we can get Netcu to look at your journal

False dichotomy, units like NETCU are a continuation of Tory policies, not a break away from them.

The Tories would be FAR worst in terms of job losses, the NHS, union rights (they would probably ban strikes). They also have brought in draconian acts themselves , although they would have to be REALLY trying if they out-nazi'd New Labour on civil rights

I doubt it. I'm as ant thatcherism as the next reasonable person but not even that benighted govt has behaved with such arrogant disdain for the average person as NL have. Time for them to go. Govts like nappies need changing regularily.
