My washing machine. I'd been months without one, and hadn't realised how much hassle it had all been getting. It's a basic Bosch for just under £300, very very easy to use and virtually silent even on high spin. I love it.

Cost us £200 from our local dealer. The sound quality is very good. It can go loud enough for us but isn't massively powerful. They do do more powerful ones but they're much more expensive. You can spend thousands on one if you want.

The brightness of the lights on the valves changes with the level of the music - most noticeably with classical music.
