The most OTT DJ booth in the world!

Well I hope he never does a stage I`m managing!

I can hear the conversation already

" There`s a set of Pioneer cdj`s , decks and a mixer....get on with it..."

" What you need 20 million toys to make it sound good...?"

" Strange , the last dj managed just fine.."

" Oh! I`m not understanding you`re artistic needs, sorry I thought you`re a DJ not a 32 piece anarcho-electro glockenspiel collective"

" Ok give us 2 hours and we`ll have all that plugged in and ready to go, shame it`s a 10 min changeover tho` so that`s not a lot of your set left"

" What you want 32amps of 3 phase power on the stage..! Look there`s a four way over there .."

" No the PA system doesn`t run into the red , that`s you turning it up too much ...mate"

" Oh it`s crashed has it , we`ll get a record on then instead."

Trance for people who don't want to admit to liking trance.

Perhaps progressive house can be thought of as a gateway genre, leading to harder, more addictive genres such as trance. One day you're innocently nodding your head to the house that goes on a very long time, the next day you're reaching for the sky, munted and blinded by fluoro lasers.

what would he make of rewinds ? maybe he'd come out in an aural rash ?!

skipping records is half the fun ; I remember bumping Ray Keith's decks way back when when I wanted to know what the track was. turns out it was his own production so all was good in the end...

I've always been a firm believer in "A Basement , A Red Light , And A Feeling" ; that's all you need to get a vibe going.
I can live without a monitor if truth be told ; if you can't establish the delay from the decks to the speakers and work around it , you can't DJ ! (within reason obvioulsy...)

I bet he hasn't got "We are I.E." though...!

this guy isn't a tool ; he's a tool box.

Nice kit though.

Powered by Mac, obviously.

Yeah but with all that other crap in there, there's barely any room for decks :D
I bet no-one else can play it (that is, if he allowed anyone else to touch it).

I thought the comment about the record skipping was ridiculous. No one gives a toss if the record skips a bit – it's like a glass smashing, everyone cheers and has a giggle, then you get on with the rest of the set.
but he wasn't talking about that.. he was taking about his digital files skipping.. persistently... now that is annoying

I like DJ booths where the dj isnt at the front up on a stage, preferably to the side, and preferably behind some kind of mesh wire.

Too much focus on the dj as a god is fun sometimes, but the best parties are the oens where there isnt justa line of people facing the dj, but where there is no 'front'.
