6 years ago I paid £90 for a Thomas Pink shirt which I'm wearing today. In the long run, it probably wasn't that expensive and I'm sure it's been 'in season' at least three times. Pretty smart huh?
a prada skirt- in tk maxx. i couldn't even vaguely afford it, even reduced from £200 or something, and it wasn't even very nice; i just wanted to try on a prada skirt. i was really shocked at how badly made it was, i've honestly seen finishing of an equal standard on a £14.99 skirt from hennes.
My dad had a Russian business associate who, on her visits to London, was determined to buy things like £90 plain black Chanel t-shirts. Dad used to be in the rag trade and said he showed her how shoddy they were (he knew all about finishing) and found her much better quality ones in M&S.
I think I've tried on some evening dresses in the sales which should have retailed at £2k - £3k.
I actually own a dress which should have cost £995 (but I paid only £15!). You can tell it's quality in the detailing and cut, but it's basically just a cotton dress, the original price was insane.
