They do suit you, though, I did mean to say when i last visited.

thing is i can see me going arse over angel if i wore them to walk down the stairs :o

i dont think the west country does muiji - but i'll have a look next time i'm in london.

Thermal insulating socks, http://www.outdoorgear.co.uk/eshop.asp?wce=34101501&wci=product and decent socks from an outdoor shop will probably be a good start.

On the slipper front.. If you spend a lot of time in the same place, why not get yourself a decent rug, to put under your feet? A sheep skin rug will cost around £30 and will keep your feet very warm and toasty, and you can even sit on one, to keep you warm as well. (if you shop around you may even be able to purchase organic ones) :D

When considering foot attire, you need to consider what you will be wearing on your feet to go with them.. I would suggest a trip to somewhere such as John Lewis, or a visit to celtic sheepskin http://www.celtic-sheepskin.co.uk/ their cuff's look wonderful!

Hope this helps!

i have a rug and a blanket :)

i want some nice warm soft slipper/sock type things. and they need to be proper grippy cos otherwise i'll slide over the polished floor.

i want something a bit more substantial than socks so i can bash my feet and wear them for ages without them losing their shapes.

:)

i have put thought into this  i'm just not findin what i want :(

"Sacrificial socks" - 5 pairs for 2 quid at Primark. Just bought myself 30 pairs. They get washed once they acquire soles like slippers (or if I step on a slug :p ).

I will be putting some holey ones (I have bare floorboards) in the compost bin as an experiment - seeing as they're mostly biodegradeable.

I'm sure there's a muji in Bristawl...?

my slipper socks are loverly...purple/blue/jadegreen stripy ones, with nice thick suede soles, bought in new look sale for 3 quid about 4 years ago...best buy i've ever made, and they can go through a hotwash...toasty warm tootsies ;)

I just thought I'd proudly announce I bought some slippers today :)

I am sooooo pleased.

They will be perfect (when they arrive)

Are the socks knackered then? Or were they not cosy enough?

I could get more before I come down if you like :)

I wore them out. And they are very slippy on these stairs.

I never stopped looking for slippers though.
