I'm a bit confused about why Sophie pretended to be Alice Webster, then faked Alice's death (although whose body was it?). Creepy military police guy said it was her idea so they could be together openly. But that doesn't make sense. Can anyone enlighten me?
If it helps, a penny may have dropped: As Alice - and not Sophie (her real ID) - the case (healthcare and investigation) would involve the British military. And so it did with Brigadier Stone battling with the German police for control of the investigation and Gettrick involved variously as liaison and source of advice - including misstating the DNA results on the burned corpse.
Obv. - as Sophie - there would have been zero control, couldn't cover their tracks if things went awry. Sophie's father would get involved - proper parental ties, hop-a-long the Fench detective, as well (got involved anyway but they wouldn't know that), who knows ... Best I've got anyway ..
De de derrrrrr...Turns out no one has to got to get used to not living next door to Alice
So that is in my head, and every time the burns guy speaks I expect him to finish each sentence with "Fair and simple. It's what a bank should be. Santander."
Cracking penultimate episode. Not sure I can face it if Baptiste goes (as soon as he explains he's a dying man, my heart sank ). I've loved him since Bad Boys
Just watched the last episode now as I had a friend round last night. I thought the series was brilliant all the way through and the last episode was as good as all the rest.
Now I'm waiting for S3 with Baptiste having made a full recovery
