wow, yet another mighty boosh shit/not shit threads! haven't seen one of them for a while.....

not shit.

but i can see why the people who can't get in the boosh zone, don't like it.

I saw the a bit of the live one and thought, "this is shit".

Then I watched the first series at dodgepot's house and it was fucking ace :D

It is much easier to get into it when yr stoned. You have to really believe in it. The cynical world we live in dismisses things too easily. After my initial uncertainty, I now love it, and the songs are ace too. When Old Greg (NF) tries to persuade Howard Moon into a relationship (he has a man-gina!!)

Hilarious :D

DVD's good too!

Definatley not shit. Its genius - I love the radio version.

Oh for fuck's sake. I might be able to accept that some people don't realise it's wacky student bollocks and might actually think it's quite amusing, but genius?
I know we lived in uninspiring dumbed-down times, but do you really have to lower your standards so far that the mighty fucking boosh is declared to be 'genius'?
Who else is a genius? Russell Brand? Peter Andre?

Not getting Nathan Barley is hardly and eye rolling matter...it wasn't THAT good...
Being able to "get" something neither insinuates it was good or bad, just that you "get" it!

ETA: Oh yea, you're wrong, Nathan Barley WAS that good!! (Maybe YOU don't "get" it either?!?! :D :p)

Exactly, being as full of in-jokes as it was, it was always going to appeal to a certain group of people.

Ooooh no it wasn't :p :D

I was funny but it wasn't THAT funny

Mighty Boosh is  .

It's not constant laugh-out-loud, but I find it really engaging.

The live DVD is really good value too, it goes on for ages and has lots of extras.

The Old Gregg episode is my favourite. And yes, I do quote it sometimes, to hilarious effect. :D

Ah but surely better to be part of the group that it does appeal to rather than the group of people it doesn't appeal to! If you "get" what I mean!? ;)

Shit. But then, I probably "just don't get it." TBH, if I wasn't told that I "don't get it" every time I expressed that it might not be my favorite show, I might like it more.

Like I said, there is a difference between "getting" something and liking it. You might "get" it but you may still find the humour, for example, not up your street...
