the mighty c-nting boosh

Don't think I saw the second series. Saw the zookeeper one and it was OK. I actually quite like the new one even though you know they're not trying to hard. Lots of referneces to drugs in camdena nd then ripping the piss out of Shoreditch and Hackney.

I worked a Mighty Boosh aftershow once and it was well surreal. They were drugged i was on a sick comedown and they had a comedy tour manager who was more bizarre than many of the characters in the programme. he wasked me where is the secutiry here and i pointed to a dog on a roof. Fielding thought it was funny but he didn't.

The first series of the Mighty Boosh (where they were zookeepers) was really funny. It went downhill from there. Now I'd rather watch Look North.

jesus. considering that's the only series i've watched, i won't bother with the rest (not that i was going to you understand!). this thread has sealed the mighty-boosh deal for me - it's wank (whether you're a student, stoner or middle aged midget!) :)

Wacky self-indulgent pretentious student toss.

If someone says they like it you can pretty much disregard everything else they say. People who like the Mighty Boosh should be banned from watching real comedy like Curb Your Enthusiasm and Peep Show.

you should be banned from breathing you silly cunt

yeah, I like it, went to see it live too :D

I went to see it with Tanky. Tanky bought me the ticket to see them, to cheer me up! And we all laughed at it all the way through.

:p

Its just one of those shows where either you are going to get it or you won't. Like Vic Reeves Big Night Out.

Takes a certain sort of surreal sense of humour to appreciate either.

The weatherman on Look North is funnier than this series (and also the last one, tbh), and he's a complete cockhammer

No he's not, he's a City fan. :p

Who are all these wronguns dissing The Boosh? Best thing on TV since The League of Gentlemen.

Mmhmm it's like marmite

I think it's funny as hell- Peep Show does win it overall but there are moments of genius in every Boosh episode, some of them very subtle. Last week's one with the Crack Fox was quality :D

I know someone who loves Vic & Bob but hates the Boosh.
The world is a crazy place!

How anyone can literally 'hate' them is beyond me, bless 'em. It's usually comedians who are smug or think they're clever that inspire hatred. The Boosh are pretty harmless.

I probably fit that: I don't love Vic and Bob as such, but I've found most of what they've done very funny.

See I'm the opposite- I think their jokes are puerile and obvious, and I've thought that since watching Shooting Stars when I was 13. They do have their moments, I won't deny that, but in general I avoid their efforts as they irritate more than amuse me.

I do think that with the Boosh you need to get stuck in and really get to know the characters; I found the second series funnier but only after watching all of the first so I was already 'in the zone', and the first series then seemed much funnier when I gave it a second airing.
