The Lido gym

I joined last night in the end and got them to drop the joining fee, so that's pretty

and yeah, free access to the Lido will be good too - I think in the meantime you get access to any other Fusion pool for free. Is that right?

hey, how are people finding it?

how are the sauna facilities? and the classes? is the little bathtub cold for use after the sauna or is is a jacuzzi?

would you recommend? i am considering to take a 3 month membership or so to force myself to do a bit of sport.

Chock the little bath is a hydrotherapy pool.... PS if you think it is a little bath I woul;d like to see yours!!:p

The hydrotherapy pool/bath is warm and full of lots of lovely theraputic jets.

The sauna and steam room are also pretty good - overall I rate the Lido gym - it never seems busy apart from the first few days of the week after work but it's never busy first thing in the morning or at the weekend.

Good range of classes and people taking different classes so for example if you don't like the Spin class with a certain person, there's bound to be another one...

i have never seen it in close up you see.

what means hydrotherapy pool? warm or cold?

It's basically a big jacuzzi with various watery stuff spurting out in various directions. The water spurting up means it's very difficult to keep your legs from floating up and kicking somebody by accident..

The sauna is the best thing of all there (although a bit on the cold side) with its little sparkley star show in the ceiling...

Actually, my biggest gripe would be about the changing rooms. They really aren't big enough. Most of the time I tend to get changed at home so only need to use them to properly change/shower etc at quiet times but if there are literally more than half a dozen women using the changing room at once there's very little space to sit down/dry off/change etc, which is a pain...
