We're signing accrington winger Rory Prendergast this week. Er..... wow.
We signed Accrington winger Rory Prendergast.
We lost to Lancaster City, Inverness CT
drew with Morcambe and Ross County
beat Keith
and we play Chester next week - £12 for a ticket! - I'm in Wales fo't weekend so luckily I can't go.
and for some reason I've started to become all optomistic and excited. Despite a crap pre-season and the fact we are 4/5 players short (clearly) of making any impact on the season. We have a decent 11 and nowt else. I'm very worried that our manager doesn't actually have any contacts in the game at all. Still we've got the best centre half in the league and a 21 yr old lad who looks great up front and we'll graft if nothing else and the last of the 'enigmas' have left the club. It's going to be interesting because big col can't hide this year and say 'I had no time to prepare - he's had a pre season and they are his team now
New kit comes out on Friday and finally we are rid of the 'Pricebusters' on the front of the shirt - the sponser is a mystery but apparantly it's a good one, best for ten years (but ten years ago, the sponser was Rebecca's Jewellers of Southport so we'll see)
Luke Beckett, Oldham's (aka the bucket rattlers) big signing broke down in a pre season game and medial knee ligament damage is suspected - dunno what that means scientifically but it normally means a long time out. Glad we didn't buy him now - but he would score against us in a wheelchair so I'm not too triumphant. (thought th'owdham fans reckon he'll be back in 4 weeks)
Bristol City seem to be lining up a great strike force, Bridges has gone there with Marcus Stewart, IF they stay fit, they'll be a handfull
Gary Megson is at it again, calling his forest players rubbish in pre season, he's an absolute idiot that man.
John Hills went to Sheffiald Wednesday after I got all excited he was coming back, bastard said he was tempted and everything.
Gillingham are going to be good - Neale Cooper knows the score, he's a good boss, and the right man to carry on what Ternant started.
