The Laughing at England Thread

I wonder how many of the african teams or asian teams or south american teams will bring hooligans and violent wankers to the tournament...

... or will my guess that only the europeans will be indulging in their historical lust for fighting be correct?

To be fair south american football is pretty violent its just they either don't care about national grudges or can't afford the tickets to get to the games...

i remember when i used to have 'not scottish' as my tagline, maybe i need to do that again?

Dear England fans,

Other nationalities hate your poxy football team, other nationalities than the scottish think that you are arrogant, whinging incompetant little shits that blight the beautiful game with turgid football and an attitude that frankly stinks

other nationalites are currently pissing themselves at your FA

Other nationalities are praying to the gods that you get dicked in every game that you play.

Yours

So fucking what?

I thought this thread was meant to be 'laughing' at England? You haven't laughed once, it's just one long stream of bitterness. Get over it, and yourself.

So people ar very bitter that their home nation can't make the World Cup.

Just start another thread, "My home country isn't going to the World Cup because they didn't play well enough to get there, and I'm a bitter jealous twat"

And then I could start a thread "The Laughing at ******* Thread"

But I wouldn't

Cos I'm not a bitter, jealous twat

Football banter, gotta love it

:D

The only problem with the england football team is the english press. Always has been, and is a major factor why we never win anything.

and i am equal parts amused/ frightened by isvictheres rant about.... i'm not sure what it was about.

i will try to better document my emotions for you as the thread continues

do you remember when when waddle / batty / pearce etc etc missed their penalites? i laughed as hard then as i did on friday when i heard that phil told the english FA to fuck off... i really did have a good chuckle at that.... in fact... i'm having a right old giggle as i type this

Your FA, found a decent manager..... and then completly fucked it up

that is fucken funny

The most exciting thing about the world cup is the inevitable implosion of England & the redtop led hate campaigns against various players/ managers etc in the England setup. YOu let it hapopene very time theres a tournament & never ever learn.

hahaha.

What predictable entertainment.

They did fuck it up, egos and pressures from the out-of-control tabloid crap.

Dunno that it's funny, as a comedy of errors, pushed into train by the all-powerful press.

If they now appoint any english manager then the comedy of errors turns into a deeply black piece of humour...

[for english fans that is; for you mate, maybe some side-splitting mirth!]

It's impossible to argue with that mate. As some here will know, i blame it on the press, but that in turn must mean something is in our psyche over this lemming-like behaviour.

We have the players to win it, even without rooney, but will they do it with the usual pressures being heaped onto them by our media (who include some brain-short ex-players) and our public's insatiable demand for stories?

In a word yes. They have a sacked foreign manager in charge, and winning it would rightly piss off the nasty xenophobic press.

It is (kind of). They're not English football or English fans though, are they? More England fans that you give credit for found the FA's behaviour embarrassing, arrogant and typical.

I find many aspects of England's relationship with the national team loathsome -- the way they're written about, the pathetic baiting of the Germans, etc -- and more England fans than you think do too.

So what is it that's bothering you?

Football -- bringing people together :D

are you dis-ascoiating english football from the english football association?

this is not-working on levels that makes my head hurt

i'm quite sure they do.... thats kinda why i'm laughing if i'm honest - if english fans found the actions of their FA acceptable this would be a less amusing incident i have to agree

Meaning that it's a level of pompous administration that has little contact with the game as it's played or with the wishes of the fans. That goes for the club game as well as the national team.

If anyone can be arsed, there needs to be reform of the system that puts ex-players, maybe even fans, in those positions.

You just hate England fans. I get it, I think.

Life goes on.

not true... well not entirely true... i hate the team as well - how the hell can anyone support a team that has gary neville, david beckham and ashley fucken cole in it? hating england has been as much about the team as the fans for me.

Those players often come across as tits. I personally can't stand Busy Bollocks Neville. Plenty people wouldn't mind seeing Beckham dropped, but want to see Cole in there as one of the best leftbacks in the world. It's always a compromise of sorts supporting a national team -- some great footballers are tools, and some are nice modest blokes who you wouldn't trust to slice the halftime oranges.

It must be hard being an ethnic minority like the scots are :(

Hmmm, I know your not Scottish, but for reasons of ease only, I've used some analogy
