the last gardening you did

Yesterday - planted out some basil the littlun grew at nursery. Watered the plants; huge passion flower running the length of the top of my garden wall about to go into bloom.
Finally got some fuscias to take in the big speakers I emptied out and put on the wall on brackets so it looks like I have a flowering garden sound system.
Second lot of rocket and lettuce also failed to germinate so far. Will be buying salad this year:mad:

Well, I must confess that I haven't done anything since Saturday...

But on Saturday I laid out the leaky hose between the rows of spuds (2nd earlies, and main crop, they're looking like bloody triffids!), beans (which are now surrounded with molluscy casualties following my Stalinesque purge after their assault on my first plantings) and where the lettuces (Lollo Rosso - the mollusc doesn't go for 'em quite so hard) will go.

I also set up a second arm of the irrigation system for the raspberries, which are setting quite a lot of fruit, but were looking rather dry. I actually have 3 bilge pumps, and I want to set the raspberries up on a separate system, as adding them to the other one has dropped the flow rate dramatically (the raspberries are being watered from a "leaky hose" made from a bit of old hose with 4mm holes drilled in it, rather than proper leaky hose. This may have a bearing on matters.

Also ripped out a load of bolted rocket, sorted out another seed tray (aka hamster-cage-bottom) for batch 3 of the rocket, so we can have a continuous supply through to the end of the season.

Need to de-side-shoot the toms some time too.

I went out in the summer rain to pick strawberries..as dirty as i got today im afraid.
I mowed the lawn last week and the lawnmower started smoking..i think its ill :(

I've planted quite a few things in my newly blitzed garden. Can't take credit for the blitzing, because I paid a very nice man to do it for me.

Not done much lately as everything seems to be pottering on as planned, picked out my toms at the weekend.

Am beginning to get worried about my plum tree, has so many plums on it the boughs are beginning to seriously bend over and look like breaking (although I don't think they will) - also means they are bending into a seriously scrump'able position! Got nearly 30lbs of fruit off it last year and this crop looks much bigger already, and it's not a big tree!

*starts collecting jars for jam*
