Something he did with someone from Ninja Tunes I think.

Rainingstairs said:man, U2 is phenomenon-ish! the killers, catch 'em now, while they're hot, new, whatever. I hardly find these bands comparable.
U2 have morphed, evolved, regressed, broken loose. The Killers, I dig. But I'd never put them on the level of U2.
That's like comparing Oasis in '96 to the Beatles.
rhod said:I thought the Killers sounded great on the Brits - really pissed off that I couldn't get tickets to see them live, but they'd sold out within minutes when they went on sale a few months back.
Oasis, in comparison sounded a bit worn out in comparison. (even Take That put a bit more oomph into their performance)!

Rainingstairs said:ebay is good for situations like this
rhod said:I checked eBay straight away (within minutes of them going on sale & selling out) and they were loads on sale for silly prices, which is probably the reason why they sold out so quickly to legit fans of the band.
I'm not going to give the money-grubbing eBay touts any of my money, anyway. I could understand it if somebody had bought tickets, but then something had cropped up & they couldn't go - but these tickets appeared so quickly they must have been touts.
I'm sure I read somewhere that many of the venues would be requiring ID checks that match the original purchasers, so the eBay tickets might not be such a good idea, after all.

Wide Eyed Angel said:Well, having now been I can safely say that while the entrance was great and boded well for a cracking show I felt the whole thing was let down somewhat by the crowd who if they had paid £60 a ticket are clearly mental and not all that bothered about the gig itself. Mmmm, let me stroke my beard.
The playlist also seemed a bit poorly thought out, it peeked far too early and didn't really leave them anywhere to go save for Mr Brightside which still didn't manage to inspire many. Good band technically, not much on the crowd interaction, shit crowd.
