the january/february music competition

tbh i just left this one to rot this month cos i am bored of doing all the work since we only got 7 entries and usually get about ten votes i wont be able to do a radio show for this one either

i don't care any more, i don't really see the point, i'm gonna try with the radio show even tho that has been available for a month and isnt on the website but i cant be fucked with these music competitions anymore

I've been away!

The dog ate it!

I forgot my kit!

Dubby Ting - this is one of the first things I ever did in Cubase, about 4 or so years ago. The production is rubnish. Might change my entry when I get home, if I can get my frigging wireless thingywotsit working.

Drop the bass drum a lot lower and the snare a bit, up the bass, guitar and vocals.

Is it too late to enter?

I haven't made anything new in months, until tonight, I made this within the last hour:

If it sounds rough it's because my tweeters are gone and I haven't got any mastering software loaded.

I feel your pain. My amp has died, so I spent half of yesterday mucking about in Reason, but having to listen through a knackered set of PC speakers with a blown sub-woofer. So every so often I had to save the track on a usb key, take it into the living room and play it, via laptop, through my big stereo set-up, then write down all the changes I wanted to make, then go back to the shitty speakers. Which was all a right pain in the arse. I wish someone would buy me those Mackie monitors I've had my eye on.

Hehe, i'm doing something similar today...listening to the track on the iPod and have noticed the drums are too harsh and loud.

My speakers were blown when my daughter turned the hi-fi up to 11 whilst listening to some mp3's. My mic/headset was connected to the pc and there was a very scary feedback loop (which had done the damage by the time I got upstairs to turn the volume down).

The joys of parenthood.

I once read a quote that said something like "Having kids makes you realise that all your most precious possessions are just junk that hasn't been broken yet".
