The IT Crowd

Tonight was really good. I love Jen more than ever and the two lads are great. The new, younger Morris looks interesting.

I guess with the second bit you're talking about Green Wing. I know it's got a bit of a Marmite reputation, but even the haters might concede it was different in format? I myself love that tightrope between surrealism and serious drama.
Yeh, I was

Nah, still couldn't concede anything tbh - it bored and irritated me

Last night wasn't as good as last week's. It was a bit laboured and Chris Morris wasn't very good either (awaits flaming from Morris-obsessives :) ).

I don't get it. The jokes aren't geeky enough to appeal to the geeks, and aren't funny enough to appeal to everybody else.

I believe that it's been rather a success in the states though.

"Moss and the German"

A cannibal
Soviet smoking rooms
Roy and Moss as a married couple
and
Film piracy

Brilliant :D

I think thy've got worse each week. The one at the theatre was pretty good but the last two week's have been lacking in my eyes. The only really good bit last night was the piracy warning at the beginning.

A lot of the humour is a satire on aspergers syndrome, which is why not all of you will appreciate it.

I enjoy the aspie references, especially Richard Ayoades character(sp?) but overall its pretty formulaic.

a mate of mine works on peeps show and there was some thoguht as to whether the IT crowd or Peep show would get the funding for some time they weren't sure which one to invest in...

I'm guessing that with the 4th series of peepshow coming out first this may well have killed off the budget for the TI crowd...

I watched the first episode of series 1 last night and have been scarred for life. I'ts been a long time since I've seen anything so unfunny and formulaic. It makes me think that Gervais based "When the whistle blows" on this tripe. I had to watch an episode of Jam just to stop feeling unclean :D

I've just finished rewatching the first series back on 4od, and it really wasn't very good. I want to like it, given that Linehan wrote it, but I found it very laboured and trying too hard.
