The best of the Web 2.0 guff for me is Last FM. If you listen to your music on the computer, you can most probably get a plug-in for your media player which tells Last FM what you are listening to. It then uses this to recommend you other music, which you can often listen to for free in good quality. Think of it as your own personal radio station. You can also see what your friends are listening to, should they have an account, and see what people who have similar tastes to yourself are listening to: good for finding completely new stuff.

I had a look at that a while ago, it struck me as a more complicated version of Pandora, so I didn't bother. Maybe now Pandora has gone I'll give it another go...
