no no its got to be that awful hospital programme where they run around st thomas' interfering wiht people and interrupting their consultations. they're never really interested in what the people are saying and aways cut away really abruptly. its *almost* comical

One of the few funny sketches on 'that mitchell and webb look' was the 'coverage of people ill in hospital and receiving treatment' one :D

Which reminds me of another one, that godawful Peter Serafinowicz show

I'll start!!!!

Down The Line.

It isn't even worth getting eloquent or wasting time writing a polemic against.

It merely deserves an uninvolved:

"execrable cack."

And urs?

I love down the line:D

Endless shit about doing up houses / buying a house / buying a house so you can do it up / buyng a house and doing it up and then selling it so you can buy another one and start the whole lunatic process again.

Oh yes. That shite too!

Down the Line wins hands down for me - it is one of the few programmes i turn off, i even sit through money box live and fade it out.

followed by all the trinny and suzannah crap.

Scrap BBC1 and BBC3

....and spend the money on educational, current affairs, sciencey programming...oh and the rights to test cricket, both home and away in full with stump mics on.

Second that, along with scrapping News24 (basically the same fifteen minutes of news 96 times a day) and the UK Golds (BBC repeats farmed out) and more money on real programming including more funding for BBC Orchestras and World Service.

Oh and get rid of Fearne Cotton and her faux rock chick persona, buy Patrick Moore a new telescope or something.

They should get rid of BBC3,fuckin awfull,BBC4 ok you get some good docus on that, agree about J Ross nauseating to see him kissing celeb ass,he ued to be a witty interviewer not so long ago,his sexual innuendo grates as well

The news. It's generally just scaremongering or speculation. I've started watching itv news just to have something else to yell at.

Last time I was guarding synagogue I really wanted to give her a piece of my mind.
Then she walked in past me and I chickened out :(

You want to get rid of UK Gold &c, where the BBC manage to sell product to another channel to increase revenues to make good programmes. But you want them to spend more on quality programming at the same time?

Not in the "lower taxes, spend more on public services" camp are you Dhimmi?

BBC Breakfast News. May as well just have the tagline "here to harrass mothers"

BBC Breakfast:

working mums/the dangers of nurseries
binge drinking
obesity (particularly obese children)(being caused by working/lone mums)
uneducated kids/mums
lone mums
breastfeeding mums
pregnant mums
getting lone mums into work ... back to the start

but she's lovely .
I'm sure she doesn't run over badgers in a tractor for weekend fun, but ugh I can't stand her voice and the way she goes 'errrmmmmm' after cracking a joke to give the audience time to split their sides before moving on.

Actually, that's not really a huge moan. Maybe push Graham Norton off a cliff first.

Tres drole. Although in the private sector that's just called efficiency. ;)

It does all add up, scrap News24 and BBC3's current output, fill one of those channels with the repeats and the other with decent programming paid for by the savings made by the first step...

Not an Aerial reader are you GS(v)?

My Family

2 Pints.....

Grown Ups

Spooks

The new-look Panorama

Programmes featuring Ewan McGregor in an outdoor format

The Weakest Link

I don't hate Jonathan Ross, but object to his huge fees. What is it, something like £18m? Just a ridiculous amount of money for a public-service broadcaster to be spending on one presenter.

Im sure this has been said before but does anyone else think the BBC are the last great con! I mean ffs they hold us all to ransom. There is absolutley no justification for the fact that anyone in possession of a telly has to pay them, regardless of if they want there service or not. 10 years ago maybe but not now. I dont and will never pay my licence fee. Anytime i get a knock i set up a D/D then cancel it as soon as the chump has left. Been doing that for the last 10 years and nothing has ever come of it. Fucking robbing charlatans!

But it's not just about the telly – do you ever listen to BBC radio or look at their websites?

I do but tbh there is nothing on them that I cant get elsewhere for free. There are are loads of other radio stations and millions of other websites and its debatable weather the BBC are even as good as some of the others. I just think its amazing that people are forced to pay for a service weather they want it or not.
