the horrors appreciation thread

i like the early stuff but the new album is absolutely amazing. i love it. On first listen i thought it dipped a bit in the middle but now i think its brilliant all the way through.

What an amazing album

I've just given it my 1st listen and I'm very impressed. 'Sea within a Sea' is a great way to finish the record, it sent shivers down my spine :)

Has anyone seen them do the new stuff live? I can imaginge it's a bit more challenging than thier older stuff.

While my bank account is re-charging and I can't purchase anything online for a while, decided to purchase the Who Can Say single - the B-side (You Could Never Tell) is not on the album, and I don't have a turntable yet - how good is it?

A lot of tracks have this weird keyboard sound in the background. Esp. on track two, Three Decades, it both works against the song and with it adding a discordant effect to the sound

Love these guys but the bass player cracks me up. He always looks stage shy like I used to be when I played.

Anyhoo, great band. Very under appreciated.

Epic thread bump Savoloy. I really liked their second, third and fourth albums (Skying is a very very good album). I also like their name and their sub-goth look. Aren’t they posh boys though?

Not really, not compared to most pop stars anyway. they're from Southend. probably a fairly nice bit of southend though, but still southend.

Well, that’s good to know. I like them a bit more now :D

The Horrors are one of those rare bands where I’ve consistently bought their albums but who I know very little about.
